Wynn Al Marjan Island Reveals a 98-Berth Marina for Megayachts up to 85 Metres: the UAE's New Northern Yachting Port for a Private Trip

8 October 20263 min read

On 5 October 2026 the Wynn Al Marjan Island resort in Ras Al Khaimah unveiled the details of its marina — Wynn Marina, with 98 berths built for super- and megayachts up to 85 metres long. According to Gulf News, that is more capacity and larger vessels than any other hotel-attached marina in the UAE. The resort itself opens in September 2027, but the announcement already redraws the map of the country's northern yachting scene.

What was actually announced

The marina will use a radial berth layout inside a protected circular basin with a maximum depth of five metres. It is designed by Marina Solutions International, with Fort Lauderdale-based IGY Marinas appointed as the operating partner, a group that runs premium marinas worldwide. Arrivals centre on the Capitainerie, which brings together marina operations, concierge service and support for captains and crews.

The marina is part of a larger $5.7 billion integrated resort. By its September 2027 opening the property is set to offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theatre, a beach club, pools, a five-star spa and a shopping promenade. 'It is not simply a place to berth a yacht, but an integral part of the destination,' said Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island.

What it means for a private trip

Ras Al Khaimah sits roughly 50 miles from Dubai International Airport, so the new port of call folds into a private northern-emirates itinerary without a long drive. For an affluent traveller arriving on an owned or chartered yacht, a circular basin with berths for vessels up to 85 metres and a dedicated crew hub is a level of logistics the north of the country has so far lacked.

Until the resort opens, Wynn Marina is a marker for future seasons rather than a stop on a 2026 route. Yet you can start getting to know the destination now: a private day in Ras Al Khaimah with a personal driver, a yacht cruise along the coast from Dubai or an unhurried drive through the northern emirates all stake out a place for that future berth well before it opens.

Wynn Marina cements Ras Al Khaimah as the UAE's new northern yachting address. Before the 2027 opening it is a reason to get to know the emirate privately, with a personal driver and time on the water, and to weave it into an itinerary in advance.
