The UAE has introduced its first federal-level tourism brand, Visit UAE, alongside a new UAE Grand Tour platform that connects all seven emirates into itineraries of up to 14 days. Both were presented during Arabian Travel Market week in Dubai on 16 September 2026, and both are timed to the coming winter season. For someone travelling privately rather than in a group, the platform is less a package to buy than a map to borrow: a ready skeleton that a bespoke, chauffeured journey can be built around.
One country, seven journeys
The Grand Tour platform was developed with Rocket International and the tourism authorities of the individual emirates. Its idea is summed up in the phrase "one country, seven journeys": routes of up to 14 days that move across the whole federation rather than parking a visitor in a single city. The programmes are organised by theme, including eco-focused, wellness, adventure and cultural-heritage tracks.
Visit UAE, meanwhile, is the country's first unified national tourism identity. It gathers the offerings of all seven emirates under one brand while still signalling that each has its own character. Alongside it, the long-running World's Coolest Winter campaign is set to expand internationally for the first time since 2020.
What it means for a private journey
The 14-day, seven-emirate structure reads almost like a brief for a bespoke tour. Rather than following the public itinerary, a private traveller can treat it as a skeleton, keeping the thematic logic (a wellness stretch, a heritage stretch, a desert stretch) while replacing group logistics with a private car, a fixed guide and the freedom to reorder days.
The initiative also puts weight on the quieter emirates. Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Fujairah together accounted for roughly 35% of UAE searches on one booking platform, and the federal push behind them makes it easier to justify adding these areas to a route that would otherwise stop at Dubai and Abu Dhabi, precisely the kind of off-centre access a private itinerary is built to deliver.
Timing and the winter window
The launch is deliberately pre-season. Dubai hotel occupancy reached 66% in August, up from 36% in March, and across the GCC flight bookings to the UAE rose more than 60% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, with hotel bookings up 130%. The signals point to a busy winter.
For a private trip, the practical takeaway is simple: the winter months are when demand and prices climb, so a multi-emirate route, along with the drivers, guides and premium stays it depends on, is worth locking in early rather than close to arrival.
Visit UAE and the Grand Tour platform give a private traveller a ready seven-emirate framework to personalise, and the smart move is to shape and book the route before the winter season fills up.
