Global Village, Dubai's seasonal open-air park where dozens of countries gather under one sky, has confirmed it will raise the curtain on its 31st season on 14 October 2026. The date was announced on 14 September, giving anyone planning an autumn or winter stay a fixed point around which to build an evening.
What is opening, and when
The season runs from 14 October 2026 through the spring, following the park's usual cool-weather calendar. Entry is deliberately modest, from 25 AED on weekdays and 30 AED at weekends, with free admission for young children, seniors and people of determination. Returning highlights include the Gardens of the World, Dragon Kingdom and the Carnaval indoor adventure zone, alongside new additions the organisers have hinted at but not yet detailed.
In practice, Global Village is a compact tour of the world: pavilions from around ninety countries line the promenades, each with its own crafts, street food and live performance. It is one of the few places in Dubai where a single walk carries you from a Moroccan souk to a Turkish bazaar to a Thai food street within an hour.
Why it fits a private itinerary
On paper this reads as mass-market entertainment, and on a Friday night it can be. The distinction for an affluent traveller lies entirely in how the evening is framed. With a private guide and driver the park becomes a curated cultural walk rather than a scramble: someone who knows which pavilions reward a slow look, where the quieter corners are, and when the crowd thins.
The nominal ticket price is beside the point. What a premium visit buys is time and calm, a route planned to skip the queues at the gate, a car waiting rather than a search through the car park, and a pace set by your interest rather than the flow of the crowd.
How to build the evening
The park opens in the late afternoon and comes alive after dark, so the natural window is an early-evening arrival before the weekend peak, ideally on a weekday. A private car drop-off at the gate spares you the parking, and a guide can compress the sprawling site into a coherent two-hour loop through the pavilions that interest you most.
It also pairs cleanly with the rest of a Dubai night. Global Village sits on the city's southern edge, an easy drive back toward Downtown for a late dinner or the Burj Khalifa fountain show, letting one evening move from a world of pavilions to the skyline without a wasted hour.
