Yas Island has a fresh headliner. On 26 July 2026 Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi opened the Kryptonite Collider, the fully indoor park's first new permanent ride since it opened in 2018. For a family travelling privately through the Emirates, it is a small but genuine reason to reshuffle a Yas Island day, and it lands at exactly the time of year when an air-conditioned attraction is worth a lot.
What just opened on Yas Island
The Kryptonite Collider sits in the park's Metropolis land and is built as a centrifuge-style ride carrying 32 guests at a time. The theme casts riders as test subjects in Lex Luthor's fictional Everyman Project, with an immersive queue, onboard audio and lighting, and interactive digital screens at the finish. It is the first entirely new permanent attraction the park has added since it first opened in 2018.
The launch is tied to the park's DC Super Hero Season, which runs until 30 August 2026 and layers in extra shows and character moments. A second, larger attraction, a flying roller coaster called Superman Up and Away, has been announced for 2028, so the Metropolis area is set to keep growing.
Why it suits a private summer trip
Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi is a fully indoor, climate-controlled park, which makes it one of the more comfortable daytime options during the August heat. For guests who travel privately and would rather avoid the crush of a peak-season crowd, an air-conditioned park where the day can be paced calmly is an easy fit.
With a private chauffeur, Yas Island is roughly an hour from central Dubai, so the park works either as an Abu Dhabi day or as a day trip from Dubai. A private host handling tickets, fast-track entry and timing means a family can skip the queues and shape the visit around the children rather than the crowd.
Building it into a private Yas Island day
The new ride pairs naturally with Ferrari World for a premium two-park day on the same island, or it can be folded into a Dubai and Abu Dhabi combination with a private guide who manages the logistics end to end.
Timing matters for now: DC Super Hero Season runs only until 30 August, so guests visiting this summer catch the seasonal programming as well as the new ride. And with Superman Up and Away due in 2028, repeat visitors already have a reason to come back.
